A Few of my More Notable Exhibitions

In June 2021 I am preparing to exhibit in a solo show at Cunneen-Hackett Center in Poughkeepsie. The show will be up by June, exact date TBD, and will continue through the month. The show will be part of Poughkeepsie Open Studios, happening on the weekend of June 19-20, 2021 in which many Poughkeepsie artists will open their studios to the public. This popular event has been attracting visitors since its inception in 2015, going virtual temporarily in 2020. 

I have had solo shows at the Poughkeepsie Common Council Chambers, Hyde Park Free Library Annex, NY State Assembly Member Didi Barrett's office, the Hudson Valley News Network offices (Interview here) at the Dutchess County Airport, and several times at Artists' Collective of Hyde Park, 4338 Albany Post Road, Hyde Park NY, 12538 (Open 3-6 pm Thursday; 12-6 pm Friday through Sunday). The PCC exhibition represents the first time an artist has been invited to display their artwork in the Council Chamber, and it heralded a new ongoing program of local artists' work being exhibited there.

I have also participated in all member shows at ACHP since its inception in September of 2012. I am a founding member and board member at non-profit ACHP, which has supported growing and established artists and provided art and music experiences to our community and visitors since it began. We also award a yearly scholarship to F.D. Roosevelt H.S. seniors who are continuing in the arts in college. For more info on past shows, please see my blog entries. 

I have exhibited in group shows, some juried, at Barrett Art Center, WomensWork.Art and Mid-Hudson Heritage Center in Poughkeepsie, Tivoli Artists Gallery, Front Street Gallery in Patterson, NY and the Howland Center in Beacon among others. Twice since 2016 my pieces have been accepted in the juried exhibition and wine label contest "Art in the Loft" at Millbrook Vineyards and Winery 

In September 2015 and again at the Hyde Park Library, I was able to celebrate my spring visit to Europe with a solo show at ACHP called "New Eyes and Extra Colors: Bringing the Journey Home." In it I contrasted the light and aesthetic of the Hudson Valley with that of the Mediterranean countries I visited. It was quite popular with clients and very enjoyable, and very worth the challenge of having a solo show to learn from and share. I gave a slideshow presentation at Arts Mid-Hudson of many more images from my trip which was so well received that I repeated it in Hyde Park.
